Valeria Duflot is an impact leader and systems strategist who has spent 15 years leading organisations and ecosystems that unlock individual and collective potential to drive transformative social and economic change.

From Bangalore to Venice, she built social enterprises as platforms and ecosystems to redistribute attention, power and resources towards more joyful, regenerative and inclusive futures. The Humming Tree became a national benchmark in India’s cultural and creative economy building a market where there was none. Venezia Autentica went further, becoming a global reference point for community-centred economic transformation, mobilising and redirecting millions towards a more inclusive and regenerative economy and informing and advancing sector knowledge and practice far beyond its local context. Its global systems change arm, Overtourism Solution, influenced business practice and policy from the municipal to the UN level, and media discourse reaching a 100M+ global audience. 

Throughout her career, Valeria has been committed to advocacy, capacity-building and field-building, driven by a conviction that sectors must learn from those they serve.

She chairs Catalyst Now’s Europe Chapter, a 1,000-member network spanning 35 countries, sits on its global Governing Council representing 6,000 social innovators across six continents and is the convener and facilitator of a new coalition of international networks exploring how to accelerate new economies together (stealth).
She has coached and advised 200+ changemakers across four continents, advised public sector leaders at all levels of government, contributed to UN and EU committees on economic transformation and data governance, and delivered capacity-building for entrepreneurs, businesses, public sector representatives and social impact leaders through institutional agencies and initiatives including the UN-founded GSTC, Italy’s Invitalia Innovation Programme, and the European Union Social Innovation Competition.

A Franco-Malagasy scientist-turned-consultant-turned-social impact leader, fluent across French, English and Italian, Valeria brings an interdisciplinary and multicultural lens and a deep belief in human potential to everything she does.

Her leadership focuses on inspiring and enabling transformative action, bridging frontline innovation with institutional and policy rooms, and building cultures and ecosystems of trust and creativity that make outsized impact possible. She leverages her foresight and understanding of the human and systemic drivers of change, alongside a multidisciplinary toolkit spanning systems thinking, storytelling, technology, business modelling, brain and behavioural science, to facilitate transformations that foster imagination, agency and collective action for people, places and planet.
